Hi, I'm Tiffany
I've spent nearly two decades in a wide range of product management roles, from a PM intern to Senior Director of Product, at companies ranging from a 30-person startup to a 100,000+ person tech giant. I've worked on everything from machine-learning search ranking algorithms to video calling features to healthcare apps for pregnant women and nurses. I know what it's like to be climbing the corporate ladder, and I know what it's like to walk away from that path for something that felt more true to myself.
My product journey, as with many others, has never been linear, and I've come to realize how important it is to have someone in your corner who can help you navigate the twists and turns of your career, especially in a field as volatile as tech. If you're lucky, that's a mentor or manager at work. But for those who aren't so lucky, or who simply want a different perspective, I'm hoping to be that person looking out for you and your career.
You can read more about my product journey below, or on LinkedIn. I'll use everything I've learned along the way to help my clients grow and thrive in their careers.
When I'm not coaching or thinking about product, you'll find me exploring the Seattle food scene, trying out new cooking or baking recipes, or enjoying time with my friends and loved ones.
My Product Journey
Deliberate PM (2026-present)
Founder & Principal
During my career break, I explored PM coaching, and realized that senior IC PMs in particular are underserved by the professional coaching market. I started Deliberate PM to help experienced PMs and new PM leaders find their footing and grow their careers with intention.
Pomelo Care (2023-2025)
Senior Director of Product Management
Pomelo Care is where I got to experience true hypergrowth, going from a 25-person startup to a 500+ person company in just under two years. I got to work on all of Pomelo's products, from the patient app to the clinician console, as both an IC PM and a manager. After parting ways with Pomelo, I took another career break to focus on personal development and figure out my future path. This time allowed me to reflect on what I really wanted to do next, and ultimately led me to start Deliberate PM.
98point6 (2021-2023)
Director of Product Management
After a short career break during the COVID-19 pandemic, I pivoted to healthcare and joined a local health tech startup that provided virtual primary care to patients. I got a crash course in the healthcare industry, and learned that while there are a lot of unique considerations in health tech, the core fundamentals of product management remain unchanged.
Facebook/Meta (2016-2020)
Product Manager, News Feed and Messenger
Facebook was where I really leveled up my PM skills by working on some of the most impactful products in the world. I joined at a pivotal time in Facebook's history, when it was rapidly growing, but still kept the "move fast" culture that enabled it to stay on top of current trends. This is where I really learned how to work on products at scale, and solidified my philosophy and approach to product management. Facebook is also where I transitioned from an IC to a manager role, supporting both RPMs (Rotational Product Managers) and IC PMs on my team.
Reddit (2014-2016)
Product Manager
Despite its large reach, Reddit was effectively still a startup when I joined—~25 employees supporting a platform reaching 100M monthly active users. I was the first PM to join with any kind of PM experience, and got to experience the startup vibe of wearing many different hats, working on everything from data analysis to login & growth features to community moderation tools.
Twitter (2012-2013)
Product Manager
My first true "Silicon Valley" experience, working at a pre-IPO, smaller company. I worked on both behind-the-scenes features like anti-spam and personalization, but also on new user-facing security & safety features, like launching native two-factor authentication.
Microsoft (2007-2012)
Program Manager
Where my full-time PM career started. I worked on early versions of Bing (then Live Search), with a focus on machine learning and search ranking algorithms. This is where I learned the foundations of product management.
My Approach & Philosophy
While I don't think there's a single "right way" to be a great product leader, I do have a few core principles that inform my approach to product management and coaching.
Everything is Tradeoffs
Just as there's no perfect product solution, there's also no perfect job or role. Every decision has tradeoffs, and understanding what's important to you, and going in with eyes wide open on what you're willing to give up, is critical for career decisions just as much as it is for product decisions.
Product Managers are Servant Leaders
I don't subscribe to the "product managers are CEOs of their product" mindset. If you're a PM because you want to be in the room where it happens, or be perceived as someone with authority, you're missing the point. Great PMs focus on helping their teams, customers, and organizations by building great products and strong relationships.
Self-Awareness is a Pre-Requisite for Growth
You can't grow if you don't know where you are today. Developing self-awareness around your strengths, weaknesses, values, and motivators is critical for growth, even if it's uncomfortable at times. I'll always be honest with you about what I'm seeing, so that you're set up for real growth.
Meet People Where They Are
This is especially true for managers, but relevant for anyone in a leadership role. Everyone has different experiences shaping their perspective, and different styles of learning and processing information. The best leaders are the ones who can adapt their style to meet people where they are, rather than expecting others to adapt to them. I'll follow this principle in my coaching as well, tailoring my approach to your unique needs and style.
